BAILEY SCOGIN
BAILEY SCOGIN
My name is Bailey Scogin and I am a Plant and Environmental Soil Science major from Lyford, Texas, and a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2020. I am excited to serve on Building with Ben’s campaign team as a Sign-Captain! I am active in the Agricultural Sorority, Sigma Alpha, where I am surrounded with like-minded women who are passionate about the Agricultural Industry and supporting women who pursue careers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Additionally, I serve as a Soil Crop Sciences Department Representative on the College of Ag and Life Sciences Council and I am also the secretary of Texas A&M’s chapter of Texas Dove Hunters Association, and a member of the Agronomy Society.
As a second-generation Aggie, I grew up coming to home football games, the first of which was November 26, 1999, the game after the collapse of Aggie Bonfire. Because Aggieland has been like a second home through the years I have seen how the next generation of Aggies have kept the spirit and camaraderie of Bonfire alive while tempering it with respect and reverence for the past. It is now our duty as students to select a Student Body President who is going to selflessly lead with integrity, respect our values, and remain loyal to the needs and concerns of students. I firmly believe that Ben Johnson is the leader who will listen to our concerns and advocate on our behalf. It is because of this I am proud to support and work alongside Ben during his campaign!
